Murdoch refers to the last illness and death of her father, James E. Murdoch, and thanks Ticknor for his "loving tribute to [their] dear one." Mentions that before he died, he "recited to the Dr. the whole of Friar Lawrence's speech, "Naught so vile upon this earth doth live" etc." Written from Cincinnati, O., Reading Road bel. Oak St.
